Our Welsummers are the result of intentional refinement and selective breeding, developed to produce truly show-stopping, richly speckled dark brown eggs that stand apart from those of commercial hatcheries. While many Welsummers lay lightly speckled or inconsistent eggs, our bloodline has been carefully improved over generations to enhance contrast, speckle density, and overall visual appeal, without sacrificing quality or performance. These birds are reliable layers of large to extra-large eggs, producing approximately 200 eggs per year and beginning to lay around 5–6 months of age.
